
Heather Larsen Design
Heather Larsen is a Los Angeles based scenic and production designer. Originally aspiring to be a special effects model maker, she studied Cinema & Digital Arts at The Master’s University. While at TMU, Heather joined their theatre arts program and eventually worked on eight productions with them, learning lighting and scenic design along the way. She also had the opportunity to produce an opera and work on six short films, serving in the art department for five. Outside of school productions, she was the set designer for the YouTube channel Team Edge (7 million subscribers) throughout her junior and senior year of college and later worked part-time as a scenic carpenter for Six Flags Magic Mountain events: Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. Since graduating in 2019, Heather was production designer on her first feature film and has continued designing stage productions at the community theatre level. In addition, Heather’s work has spread to interior design, as she has designed multiple studio spaces for podcast-type content. Most recently, she has worked as a carpenter for Scenic Highlights in Sun Valley, CA, a company with clients such as The Academy Awards, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Disneyland. Heather is continuing to develop her skills by attending graduate school for her MFA in Scene Design at San Diego State University (Graduating May 2024).
